My campaign staff met over the week-end to plan a strategy to win this race. We set out parameters about spending campaign money, including buying local and making sure no official campaign volunteer goes broke working official events because of the cost of fuel. We are all about People Power. I have been humbled by the support being shown since the announcement of my candidacy, both in terms of volunteering skills and donations.
But we need to raise money in order to get our message out, no matter how much People Power we can muster. If we don’t have money in the bank when the next reporting period comes around, we will have no credibility as a candidate. I’ve set an aggressive goal of raising $100,000 to support this effort. I’d like to see a third of that in the bank by the end of this reporting period.
Please donate by clicking the link on this page. It will take you to ActBlue, which processes credit card transactions on behalf of Democratic candidates nation-wide. They grew out of Howard Dean’s 50 State Strategy, and make it easy for candidates to accept donations and report their results to the Secretary of State. They can even help you schedule house parties with your friends.
If the Great Recession has left you with a pinched budget, ActBlue will help you set up monthly contributions for as little as $5 a month. If even that is a stretch for you, please click our Contribute link at the top of this page and donate some of your time or suggestions.
