I recently blogged about Ralston Creek, which serves water to 1.2 million Front Range peoples, being contaminated with uranium water. Well here’s the latest: Cotter is suing to avoid cleaning up the water in a mine which is filling with water, and could make the matter worse.

And the GOP is still talking about the need to “live within our means” and reduce taxes for the wealthiest 1% in our nation. Let’s talk about reality, shall we? We need clean water to drink, we need industry to pay its share of taxes, we need services that protect the health and well being of our citizens from dangerous profit driven short cuts (i.e. not cleaning up walk in coolers in restaurants because the owner doesn’t want to pay staff for the extra time needed to do so.)
We need BOTH a robust economic environment that encourages small businesses to start-up and expand AND government regulations that keep our neighborhood safe, our water drinkable, our air breathable, and our food digestible.
And by the way, Kevin, I don’t rant and rave about unions having their say in elections because they represent American working families. I do rant and rave about foreign corporations having their say in elections because they are NOT AMERICAN. You claim to be against big government, but all you are is a shill for large multi-national corporations. I’m about the small guy. You’ve been duped into believing that the multi-national corporation is going to be good for AMERICANS.
